Professor Zhang Wenchun

Professor Zhang Wenchun is Dean of the Faculty of Traditional Chinese Medicine at Jiangxi University of Traditional Chinese Medicine and holds the rank of Second-Level Professor, one of the highest academic professorship levels in China. He is a doctoral supervisor and serves as Vice Chairman of the Chinese Society of Medical Qigong, alongside additional national academic roles.

His research focuses on foundational theory of TCM and Qigong science. He developed the theoretical framework of the “Unity of Body, Qi, and Spirit (Xing–Qi–Shen)” and has led more than ten national and provincial research projects, including projects funded by the National Natural Science Foundation of China.

Clinically, Professor Zhang pioneered an integrative approach combining Chinese herbal medicine, medical Qigong, and acupuncture. His specialties include emotionally related neurological conditions, digestive disorders, and endocrine system disorders. During the COVID-19 pandemic, he led the development of specialized health-preserving Qigong practices and supported their international dissemination.

Professor Zhang has taught at Jiangxi University of TCM since 1985 and lectures on core subjects such as Foundations of Traditional Chinese Medicine and Huangdi Neijing. He has published over 40 academic articles and contributed to multiple national-level TCM textbooks. In 2022, he established China’s first Master’s degree program in Medical Qigong.

Teacher Xu Junhui

Teacher Xu Junhui, a Macau national, has practiced martial arts, Qigong, and traditional healing methods since early adulthood. He completed formal education in life sciences with systematic study of Traditional Chinese Medicine as well as Confucian, Buddhist, and Daoist traditions. He has worked for many years as a lecturer, researcher, and practitioner of non-pharmaceutical TCM therapies.

Since 2001, Teacher Xu has been deeply involved in professional exchange and collaboration across Guangdong, Hong Kong, and Macau, focusing on TCM culture, professional training, and medication-free therapeutic applications. He holds numerous leadership roles within regional and international TCM organizations and serves as Director of the TCM Professional Training Center in the Guangdong–Hong Kong–Macau Greater Bay Area.

His research collaborations include work with major universities and research institutions such as Fudan University, Tongji University, and national scientific laboratories. Research areas include consciousness studies, clinical rehabilitation, immune response indicators, and biophysical characteristics of the human body. Multiple research outcomes have been formally recognized and applied in practice.

Teacher Xu has trained approximately 7,000 professionals internationally in non-pharmaceutical TCM therapies. In 2023, he founded a dedicated TCM training base at Jiangxi University of TCM. In 2025, the TCM Professional Training Center of the Greater Bay Area was officially established, and the introduction of TCM education in Macau schools received governmental approval.

During the COVID-19 pandemic, he participated in large-scale public health support initiatives through medication-free TCM approaches, reaching hundreds of thousands of participants through online programs and public lectures.

Dr. Shi Chongrong

Dr. Shi Chongrong was born in Macau and is President of the Macau Society of Traditional Chinese Medicine. He holds a doctorate from Guangzhou University of Traditional Chinese Medicine and a Master’s degree in integrated Chinese-Western medicine from Jinan University.

He serves as Editor-in-Chief of the Macau Journal of Traditional Chinese Medicine and acts as an external medical expert for Hengqin Hospital in Zhuhai. Dr. Shi holds multiple professional and advisory roles, including Director of the Preventive TCM Medicine Center in Macau and member of the Guangdong Provincial TCM Standardization Committee.

With over 30 years of clinical practice, Dr. Shi studied under several senior TCM masters from Hong Kong and Macau. His clinical focus includes complex chronic conditions, pain syndromes, anti-aging medicine, and preventive healthcare, particularly the TCM principle of treating illness before disease manifests.

Institutional & Teaching Context

The faculty involved in this program are active within established universities, clinical institutions, and professional TCM organizations across mainland China, Macau, Hong Kong, and the Greater Bay Area. Teaching and training activities are conducted within formal educational frameworks, clinical environments, and government-recognized professional platforms.


The program is hosted in cooperation with educational and clinical partners experienced in international professional training and non-pharmaceutical TCM applications.
