Visa Information for U.S. Participants
Most participants will need a Tourist Visa (L-type) to join our 2026 Seminar in Zhuhai, China. Please apply well in advance.
How to Apply
- 
Determine your Consulate 
 China has an Embassy in Washington, D.C. and Consulates-General in New York, Chicago, San Francisco, and Los Angeles. Each location covers specific U.S. states.
 Find your correct consulate here: Chinese Embassy & Consular Network in the U.S.
- 
Complete the Online Visa Form 
 Fill out the China Online Visa Application:
 consular.mfa.gov.cn/VISA
- 
Prepare Your Documents - 
Valid U.S. passport (6+ months beyond your stay, 2 blank pages) 
- 
Completed visa form (printed with barcode) 
- 
One recent passport photo 
- 
Proof of travel itinerary (flights, hotel, or seminar confirmation) 
- 
Invitation letter if requested 
 
-

Make an Appointment (if required) 
 Some consulates require online appointment booking via the AVAS system:
- 
Submit Your Application 
 Bring your application, passport, and documents to your Consulate or Visa Center. Some locations allow agents to apply on your behalf.
- 
Pay Fees & Wait for Processing - 
Standard: ~4 business days 
- 
Expedited: ~2–3 business days (extra fee) 
 
- 
- 
Collect Your Visa 
 Check your visa details immediately (dates, number of entries, spelling).
Notes
- 
Apply at least 4–6 weeks before departure. 
- 
Some exemptions exist (Hong Kong, Macau, Hainan), but they do not cover our 3-week seminar in Zhuhai. 
-
